PED software for strength calculation

sPEeD-Analyze covers the five harmonised EN standards that satisfy the Pressure Equipment Directive — for boilers, pressure vessels, piping and flange joints.

One toolbox for pressure-equipment compliance

The calculation engine behind certified pressure equipment

  • Fast calculations — minutes instead of spreadsheet days

  • Correct interpretation of the standard, with input validation

  • Large built-in material library

  • Reports formatted for notified-body approval

Why it matters

Every pressure vessel above 0.5 bar must comply

Since 29 May 2002, all boilers and pressure vessels at 0.5 bar or higher must be approved in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive. The harmonised EN standards are the route to that approval — and sPEeD-Analyze implements them directly.

Many manufacturers still run spreadsheets based on older national norms (TRD, British Standard). As those are replaced by the harmonised EN norms, moving to sPEeD-Analyze removes the manual errors and the uncertainty of doing it by hand.

Coverage

Five EN standards, one platform

EN 13445 is the main norm the others reference. Data can be exchanged between packages despite differing nomenclature.

EN 12952Water-tube boilers — Strength calculation of water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations.
EN 12953Shell boilers — Strength calculation of shell boilers.
EN 13445Unfired pressure vessels — Strength calculation of unfired pressure vessels; the main reference norm.
EN 13480Industrial piping — Strength calculation of metallic industrial piping.
EN 1591Flange joints — Strength calculation of flange joints.

What sPEeD-Analyze secures

Faster certification, fewer errors

  • Easier case management in the certification phase

  • Uniform calculation and interpretation (calibration)

  • Minimised number of errors

  • Uniform documentation

  • Organised to approval procedures

Advantages

Designed around the engineer

  • Intuitive graphical interface with built-in helper facilities

  • Checks that input data complies with the standard

  • Detailed reports with your company logo and information

  • Combine norms by exchanging data between packages

  • Generates drawings from input data, with full references

The deliverable

Reports your notified body will accept

The report is the product. sPEeD-Analyze produces structured calculation reports with references to the exact formal expression in the applicable norm — using the same nomenclature as the standard, which keeps the review unambiguous.

  • Component overview with utilisation and pass/fail per part

  • Project, client and approval fields built in

  • Consistent layout across every calculation
