Strength calculation for water-tube boilers

EN 12952 is the harmonised European standard for water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations. Part 3 (EN 12952-3) sets out the design and calculation rules for the pressure-bearing parts — drums, headers, tubes, downcomers and connections — that must be verified for a boiler to be approved under the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
